This page explains which data is processed when you visit the OWL site or share your interest.

Website delivery

When you access the site, technically necessary connection data is processed by the browser, web server and upstream infrastructure. Security logs are limited to what is necessary and deleted or anonymized after no more than seven days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and stable operation.

Plausible Analytics

We use the self-hosted Plausible Analytics Community Edition at plausible.relink-systems.de. Plausible does not set cookies or use persistent identifiers. IP address and user agent are processed only briefly to create a daily, non-reversible value and are not stored in raw form. We measure page views and the anonymous events hero mode, submitted expression of interest and confirmed expression of interest. Form content, slider values and email addresses are not sent to Plausible.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a data-minimizing evaluation of whether the product concept is understood.

Language selection

We store your explicit language choice as a technically necessary preference for up to twelve months. It contains only de or en. The language sent with the form is also stored so confirmation and project emails can use the selected language.

Expression of interest and double opt in

For your OWL feedback we process your email address, installation situation, smart-home system, possible scale of use and communication language. The sole purpose is developing OWL and project-related communication.

The expression of interest becomes active only after double opt in. Unconfirmed entries are deleted after seven days. Confirmed data is stored until consent is withdrawn or the development purpose ends; necessity is reviewed after no more than 24 months.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw it at any time with future effect by emailing info@grafzahl.io.

Recipients and operation

The website, waitlist endpoint, database and Plausible are operated on self-managed infrastructure in the European Union. The configured mail server is used for the confirmation email. Data is not shared for advertising purposes.

Your rights

You have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Email info@grafzahl.io to exercise them.

Right to complain

You may lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Saxony-Anhalt, Leiterstraße 9, 39104 Magdeburg, Germany.
